Winter Lull

Photo from pxhere

Moonbeams dance upon snow
as the tree casts itself in shadow
over the quiet field. Branches
vein across glitter, reach
over veiled ground to touch
bent, frosted grass at the edge
of the silenced brook.

  3. Very strong visuals and mood--your word choice is almost photographic of that winter white composition where the hush shows off the glitter all the stronger. Enjoyed it much, Joanne.

  5. brrrr... winter has arrived here now too. Snow & ice to cope with today. More ice than snow as it had rained then turned to freezing. Yuck.
    Lovely prose.
